IOSH - Managing Safely

Who is it for?

This course is aimed at managers & supervisors that are required to manage employees and their work activities, in compliance with the company's Safety Policy & Health & Safety legislation. Goes someway to achieving competency as set out within the CDM 2007 regulations.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

Apply basic management principles & practices to Health & Safety issues, set practical Health & Safety objectives & implement means of achieving those objectives. Recognise risks present in the work place and set appropriate control measures, take account of risks posed by human factors. Ensure that adequate information, instruction, training and supervision is provided within the workplace. Investigate all incidents involving injury or damage in order to determine the causes and to take appropriate remedial actions. Communicate effectively on Health & Safety issues with supervisors, employees and Health & Safety professionals and understand the main legal requirements of employers and managers and to act to fulfull
these obligations.

Candidate Assessment:Multiple choice examination practical assessment followed by project work.
Qualification:
IOSH
On successful completion of the course and final assessment, the candidate will receive an IOSH Accredited Certificate valid for 5 years.
