This course is for first line managers – those who have, or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities. It provides an introduction to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring and understanding of their legal responsibilities relevant to their work activities. It will provide a sound knowledge base to enable them to give valuable assistance in safely managing a construction site.
To ensure candidates have an overview of their responsibilities for health and safety on construction sites. This course provides the ideal introduction for those supervisors who have had some or little previous health and safety training. It can be used as a precursor to attendance on the five-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course.
